Parliamentarians, Chairperson NCHD call on PM 

      
ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said the government is taking all possible measures to mitigate the sufferings of the common man.He added that the projects beneficial to the larger segments of the society have been kept on priority in the government development programme despite stress on the treasury.The Prime Minister was talking to MNAs Ms. Nafisa Shah, Chairperson National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Hamid Yar Hiraj, Tariq Mahmood Bajwa, Mumtaz Akhtar Kalaun and Nawabzada Ghazanfar Gul, Advisor to PM on Political Affairs who called on him here at the PM House on Wednesday.
Ms. Nafisa Shah presented the Prime Minister a cheque of Rs.  two million for the PM’s Flood Relief Fund. She apprised the Prime Minister of various flood relief activities taken up by NCHD in various flood ravaged areas.
The MNAs apprised the Prime Minister about various matters pertaining to their constituencies. They also briefed the Prime Minister about the status of ongoing projects in their respective areas.
The Prime Minister assured the MNAs that despite the devastating floods, the Government would complete the ongoing development projects in various flood hit areas of the country.
The completion of these projects will help mitigate the sufferings of flood victims, he added.
He urged the Parliamentarians to personally monitor the projects in their respective areas and guide the Government regarding any improvement if needed.
