PM pledges development package for Muzaffargarh
MUZAFFARGARH, Sept 17 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday pledged a development package for Muzaffargarh in days ahead.He announced this while responding to the demands by local representatives of people including MNAs Abdul Qayyum Jatoi, Jamshed Dasti, MPAs Mahr Irshad Siyal, Bilal Khar and Ghulam Noor Rabbani Khar, at a public meeting here.He said that he would soon convene a meeting of MPAs and MNAs of Muzaffargarh to formulate a development package in the light of their recommendations.
The Prime Minister said that development was the right of people and the government was duty bound to serve them.
He termed Muzaffargarh a PPP stronghold and reiterated his commitment to provide all facilities to people on theer doorsteps.
He instructed Coordinator for Social Sector Begum Shahnaz Wazir Ali and MD Bait-ul-Maal Zamurd Khan to survey the area in consultation with people and their representatives to assess their development needs and requirements.
The Prime Minister said that all facilities of health and education besides family planning and clean environment, would be provided to people.
He also promised to upgrade the Multan-Muzaffargarh Highway to Motorway.
Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa, PM’s Media Coordinator Khawaja Rizwan Alam, MNA Moazzam Jatoi and other PPP leaders and office-bearers were also present on the occasion.
