PM Gilani directs for strengthening of protective embankments
MITHI, Sept 18 (APP): Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Sunday directed Federal Minister Syed Naveed Qamar to inspect the banks of River Indus and its distributaries and ensure strengthening of the protective embankments.He was talking to Syed Naveed Qamar during visits to various rain-affected areas in district Tharparkar.Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani directed the Federal Minister to review the position of breaches caused by the flood in the protective embankments.Syed Naveed Qamar assured the Prime Minister that all out efforts would be made to strengthen the embankments.
