PM assures FATA MNAs of judicious distribution of funds in PSDP
ISLAMABAD, Sept 24 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday assured the MNAs hailing from FATA of the judicious apportionment of the allocated funds in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) to carry out development projects in the region to fight out poverty, unemployment and ignorance.The Prime Minister was talking to a delegation of MNAs from FATA including Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Engineer Shaukat Ullah, Malik Bilal Rehman, Sajjid Hussain Turi, Haji Muneer Khan Orakzai, Jawad Hussain, Muhammad Kamran Khan and Zafar Betanni.
During the meeting the MNAs said that they were evaluating the erformance of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and would seriously consider joining the PPP at an appropriate time in pursuance of the promulgation of Political Parties Act in FATA.
They assured the Prime Minister that they firmly stood by the government and would continue to extend their support in future too.
They assured of their unflinching support to the President and the Prime Minister on the stance taken by the federal government on the foreign policy domain.
The Prime Minister gave the instructions that regional quota in jobs must be observed in letter and spirit, adding that the ban on recruitment will be lifted after seeking approval from the cabinet.
Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said that he would take the political leadership into confidence on the security of Pakistan.
