PM renames Billiwala as Ismail Shah Wala
MULTAN, Oct 1 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday announced to rename Billiwala town as Ismail Shah Wala, after the name of a saint Syed Ismail Shah. The Prime Minister made the announcement at a huge public meeting after laying the foundation stone of Rs 12.9 billion Multan-Khanewal section of M4 motorway project.Addressing the gathering, he recalled that he along with his uncle Syed Shoukat Hussain Gilani, then Sajjada Nasheen of Darbar Musa Pak Shaheed, used to visit Billiwala to meet the people to know about their problems.
The Prime Minister said the name of the town Billiwala did not seem suitable. He renmaed the town after the name of saint Syed Ismail Shah, whose mausoleum was located in the area.
