Govt believes in full expression of views: PM
ISLAMABAD, Oct 4 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said that the government believes in full expression of views and it is the right of every member to speak on all issues in the Parliament.Speaking in the National Assembly while responding to Ehsan Iqbal’s objection by an MNA of PPP from FATA that he was wasting the time of House, asked him to speak in the Parliamentary Committee or take up the matter with the Minister as he is from the ruling Party.Prime Minister said all the members have the right to speak even against their own party’s govt policies.He said it shows democracy in the Party. Agree to disagree is the essence of democracy, the Prime Minister said.He said the PPP is a democratic party and fully believes in democracy.
Earlier, PPP MNA Akhunzada Chattan on a point of order informed the National Assembly that the political administration of FATA is not implementing the amendment in Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) Act that prisoners of below the age of 12 years and above 60 years would not be kept in jails. He demanded action against the concerned political agents
