PM approves upgradation of FDE teachers’ posts
ISLAMABAD, Oct 5 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday approved the up-gradation of posts of all teachers, including PTIs, working in BS-16 prior to 1-1-2011 under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), Islamabad to BS-17. The up-gradation is in fulfillment of the announcement made by the Prime Minister on the occasion of Salam Teachers Day on November 8, 2010. The newly up-graded posts in BS-17 have been re-designated as Secondary School Teachers (SST). Teachers have thanked the Prime Minister for the provision of better pay and service conditions to them.
