PM, Speaker discuss ways to improve working of National Assembly
ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (APP): Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and discussed with him matters pertaining to further improvement in legislative procedures of National Assembly. During the meeting at his Parliament House Chamber on Thursday, the Prime Minister assured the Speaker that he would extend full support to her to strengthen Parliament which is a symbol of democracy and peoples’ empowerment.The Speaker thanked the Prime Minister for his cooperation and expressed hope that all parliamentarians across the political divide would also cooperate in the same spirit.
