PM performs ground breaking of two mega projects
MULTAN, Nov 26 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday performed ground-breaking of two mega road projects worth over Rs 768 million here.NHA Chairman Mohammad Ali Gardezi gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister about the projects.The two projects, including widening/improvement of old Shujabad Road and construction of Link Road from Head Mohammad Wala Bridge to Bosan Road will be executed under the Prime Minister’s Development Package for Southern Punjab.
The Shujabad Road project will cost around Rs 580 million. It will be a 7.3 km long six-lane dual carriageway with service road on each side.The National Highway Authority (NHA) will execute the project from Double Phatak to Nagshah Chowk here.
 Construction of the Link Road from Head Mohammad Wala to Bosan Road will cost Rs 189.69 million. The four-lane road will be 42 kilometre long. Its two-lane portion is already under construction.
