PM greets President of Turkmenistan on Neutrality Day
ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov on the occasion of their Neutrality Day falling on December 12. In his message, the Prime Minister said, “it is a pleasure to extend my heartiest felicitations to you and the people of Turkmenistan on the 15th anniversary of their Neutrality Day.”
“We are happy that Turkmenistan continues its firm adherence to the policy of positive neutrality under Your Excellency’s wise leadership,” Gilani said adding Pakistan is proud to be one of the co-sponsors of the United Nations Resolution adopted in 1995 on Turkmenistan’s status of Permanent Neutrality.
He said, “We are happy that this policy of positive neutrality has been an important factor for peace and stability in the region.”
The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that Turkmenistan will continue to make great strides on the road to development and progress under the visionary leadership of its Prime Minister and the existing friendship and cooperation between the two countries would be further strengthened with consistent efforts from the two sides.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, please accept our best wishes for Your Excellency’s health, happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity for the people of Turkmenistan,” he added.
