Process of reconciliation to help bring political stability; PM
ISLAMABAD, Jan 11 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said that the process of reconciliation and dialogue would help bring about political stability and strengthen democratic institutions.The political stability, he said would lead to economic stability and enhance trade prospects both within the country as well as with other countries.He was talking to the Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Muhammad Amin FahIm who called on him at the Prime Minister’s House.The Prime Minister underlined the need for taking precise measures to explore new world markets for enhancing the existing quantum of exports of Pakistani goods which would help strengthen the economy.
The Prime Minister said that the world has become a global village and it was need of the hour to equip the Pakistani industry with the latest technologies and skilled manpower with a view to market our export products by improving the standard and quality upto international standards.  
It would not only help achieve the export targets of the government but also flourish the industrial sector on sound footings, the Prime Minister said.
The Minister for Commerce lauded the political sagacity of the Prime Minister in tackling the political situation and assured that the Peoples Party believes in the strength of reconciliatory politic as envisioned by late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
The Minister for Commerce also briefed the Prime Minister on the performance of his Ministry and its attached organizations and various initiatives being taken to increase the level of exports to the global market.
