Gilani stresses on improving Post Office services
ISLAMABAD, Jan 13 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has stressed upon improving the services of Pakistan Post Office through introduction of latest management techniques.He said Pakistan Post in playing a vital role in the economic and social development of Pakistan.The Prime Minister said during the meeting with the Minister for Postal Services Israrullah Zehri who called on him at Prime Minister House Thursday afternoon that Pakistan Post Office as an institution is providing a variety of services to the people in every nook and corner of the country.
The Prime Minister urged the Minister to introduce good governance in the postal offices for provision of quality service to the common people.
He observed that postal service was still a cheapest mean of communication for the masses but occasional delay in delivery upset them.
Therefore, he added, the Ministry should focus on improvement of management to make its services competitive.
The Minister informed the Prime Minister about the working of the Ministry and its various issues.
