Restoration of 1973 Constitution, 7th NFC award dividends of PPP’s reconciliatory policy: PM
ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision of political reconciliation has served as a guiding force for the Government in resolving national issues. The restoration of 1973 Constitution in its original form, 7th NFC Award and strengthening of the state institutions are dividends of reconciliatory policy adopted by Pakistan Peoples Party, he added.
The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Sardar Latif Khosa, Governor Punjab, who called on him here at the PM House on Monday afternoon.
He said the Government has formed a committee to engage with all political parties in the Parliament to obtain proposals to tackle economic challenges confronting the country.
The Prime Minister asked the Governor to play his constitutional role to ensure political harmony among coalition partners in the interest of the people of province.
Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa assured the Prime Minister that he would play his due constitutional role for betterment of the people of province.
He briefed the Prime Minister about his meetings with various political leaders including the leadership of PML (N) and ANP. He also apprised him about his visit to Nine Zero in Karachi.
