Gilani reiterates govt resolve to solve people’s problems
MULTAN, Jan 29 (APP)- Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Saturday that the top priority of the government for the current year was to resolve the problems of common man by providing basic facilities, particularly in under-developed areas of the country. He reiterated the government’s resolve to address the problems of masses at grossroots level through better coordination with provincial governments and understanding with political stakeholders.Prime Minister Gilani was talking to local representatives and notables of Basti Labar here.The local leaders apprised the Prime Minister of the position of various development initiatives. They also highlighted the reasons for delay in some of the schemes.
They appreciated the support given by the government organizations in flood-hit areas, saying that life had become normal in those areas.
Earlier, Prime Minister Gilani offered condolences to Malik Ghulam Mehboob Labar on the demise of his wife. He offered Fateha and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the members of bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Members of Punjab Assembly Syed Ahmed Mujtaba Gilani, Malik Ahmed Hassan Dehrr, Malik Aamir Dogar, Aamir Ghani Marral and Syed Nazim Shah, PM’s Media Coordinator Khawaja Rizwan Aalam, Malik Mohammad Saleem Labar and others were also present on the occasion.
