PM consults political leaders for reducing size of cabinet
ISLAMABAD,Feb 4 (APP):Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani consulted with the leaders of various political parties by telephone on Friday evening for reducing the size of the federal cabinet in accordance with the austerity measures being taken in the wake of economic difficulties.After the decision of Central Executive Committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party to politically empower the Prime Minister to dissolve the Federal Cabinet and to form a new one, the Prime Minister started consultation with political leadership particularly the coalition partners.
The consultation was held in the spirit of reconciliation.The Prime Minister spoke to Mian Nawaz Sharif, Quaid of PML (N), Pir Syed Mardan Shah of Pagaro Sharif, Quaid of PML (F), Altaf Hussain, Quaid of MQM, Asfand Yar Wali, President of ANP, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Amir of JUI(F) and Munir Khan Orakzai, Leader of FATA Parliamentarians
