PM Gilani inaugurates fly-over
MULTAN, Oct 28 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani here on Thursday inaugurated newly built fly-over at Chungi No.9, completed under the PM’s Development Package.Chairman National Highway Authority Chaudhary Altaf Ahmed briefed the PM on the development project. Chaudhary Altaf said that eight fly-overs were being constructed at six different sites in the city which would cost Rs 3.9 billion.The NHA chairman also informed the Prime Minister that work on fly-overs at Chungi no 8, Kalma Chowk and Double-Phatik was in progress and it would be completed by April 2011.
Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani also performed ground breaking ceremony of two grid stations that would be constructed in nearby localities of Kabirwala at a cost of Rs 630 million. One of these would be constructed at Maan Kot while the other one would be built in Bati-Bangla.
Federal Minister for Education Sardar Aseff Ahmed Ali, Federal Minister for Communication Arbab Alamgir, State Minister for Communication Imtiaz Safdar Warriach, Federal Minister for Social Welfare Sameena Ghurki, Chairman NHA Chaudhry Altaf, Senator Salahuddin, MPA Abdul Qadir Gilani and Malik Aamir Dogar were also present.
