Politics of dialogue, reconciliation need of hour: PM
ISLAMABAD, Mar 2 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Wednesday that the success of democracy mainly depended on the collective performance of public representatives and the democratic institutions. Therefore, the politics of dialogue and reconciliation was the need of hour, he added. The Prime Minister was talking to Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) Sahibzada Mohammd Mahboob Sultan and Ms. Rukhsana Bangash, who called on him here at the PM House on Wednesday.
He stressed upon the need to respect the mandate of all the political parties to create conducive working environment so that the public representatives could focus their attention on solution of the problems and issues, including extremism confronting the country.
The MNAs appreciated the Prime Minister’s democratic and reconciliatory approach to develop a culture of tolerance which would strengthen the institutions.
They also discussed the current political situation and progress on the development schemes to improve civic amenities in their respective constituencies.
