PM announces Rs 120 mln for Toor Garh development
ISLAMABAD, Mar 3 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday announced Rs. 120 million for electricity supply, road construction and provision of civic amenities to the newly established district headquarters of Toor Garh (Kala Dhaka).Talking to a delegation from Toor Garh led by Prince Salahuddin and MNA Laik He Muhammad Khan, the Prime Minister said the amount will be allocated in the current budget while remaining half would be disbursed in the next year budget.In a meeting held his Parliament House chamber, Gilani said the government was paying special attention on the development of underdeveloped regions.
He accepted the invitation of the local delegation to visit the district in near future.The members of the delegation thanked the Prime Minister for giving special attention to the uplift of their backward region.
They acknowledged that it was the first government which had launched electricity supply schemes for the first time in the history of their area.
They also thanked for the generous allocation of funds for improving the civic amenities in the district.
MNA Laik Muhammad Khan briefed the Prime Minister about the progress of development schemes launched in the area. He apprised the Prime Minister that electricity has already been supplied to 30 percent of the area through Prime Minister’s special allocations already disbursed.
