President, PM chair party meeting
ISLAMABAD, March 10 (APP): Co-Chairman of PPP President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusaf Raza Gilani chaired a meeting of PPP ministers and leaders here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. The meeting that was held late Wednesday night discussed the current political situation obtaining in the country. Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh gave a briefing on the economic situation in the country. Prime Minister Gilani also briefed the meeting about overall law and order and political situation with reference to the coalition matters.The meeting thoroughly discussed and debated the issues confronting the country. The meeting reposed full confidence in the leadership of Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari  and Prime Minister Gilani.
The ministers who attended the meeting included Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan, Federal Minister for Communications, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Zaheeruddin Babar Awan, Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Federal Minister for Textile and Housing and Works, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Federal Minister for Commerce, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Federal Minister for Defence, Mir Hazar Khan Bijrani, Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Mian Raza Rabbani, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination and Human Rights, Syed Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister for Privatization and Water and Power, Sardar Al-Haaj Mohammad Umar Gorage, Federal Minister for Postal Services and Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Finance & Economic Affairs Division.
Fouzia Habib and Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar were also present during the meeting.
