Solution of country’s multifarious problems lies in fast-track development: PM
ISLAMABAD, March 18 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Friday said despite financial constraints, the government is planning to launch mega projects in near future to accelerate the pace of development in the country. The fast-track development provides the solution of country’s multifarious problems, the Prime Minister said while talking to Syed Haider Ali Shah, Awami National Party, MNA, who called on him here at the PM House. Gilani said that the government allocated the development budget to all the parliamentarians irrespective of their political affiliation to provide relief to the people of every area.
Keeping in view the financial constraints, the concerned departments have been directed to complete the ongoing projects and rationalize the new schemes as well, he added.
The Prime Minister observed that timely completion of development projects will help generate employment and reduce the poverty.
Syed Haider Ali Shah thanked the Prime Minister for equitable distribution of development funds and apprised him of the progress on development projects including road and electricity schemes launched in his constituency.
