PM seeks proposals from Farzana Raja

LAHORE, Oct 31 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sought proposals from Farzana Raja, Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), to provide free gas  and electricity to three million poor families through Benazir cards. According to official sources here, the prime minister has called a meeting of Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Minister for Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Chairperson (BISP) Farzana Raja in this connection in this week.
The prime minister directed the chairperson BISP to take measures on priority basis for the provision of free gas and electricity to three million families so that they could be provided relief through Benazir cards, the sources said.
The prime minister said that the PPP-led government would take all-out measures to extend relief to the poor, adding that  the problems of the poor masses would be solved on their door steps  as per the manifesto of the PPP, the sources added.
