Books on ‘Bhutto trial’ presented to President, PM
LAHORE, Apr 2 (APP): Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) has reprinted “Bhutto Trial” (in two volumes) by famous jurist Syed Afzal Haider.PAL Chairman Fakhar Zaman, presented the set of “Bhutto Trial” to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.Fakhar Zaman said that the books had gained more importance in the present situation as the government had decided to reopen the case of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed in the Supreme Court.
The books include all necessary documents relating to the case and also a comprehensive report of court proceedings. This book comprehensively proves the fact that the case instituted against Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed was entirely mala fide and based on vested interests of anti-democratic forces in Pakistan, he added.
