Implementation of development agenda to help alleviate poverty: PM ISLAMABAD, April 13 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Wednesday that the implementation of development agenda of his government was possible due to across the board allocation of funds to the representatives of all political parties. The completion of the development schemes would help generate economic activity, thus alleviating the poverty, the Prime Minister said, while talking to Minister for Industries and Production Mir Hazar Khan Bajarani, Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim and Minister for Environment Ms. Samina Khalid Ghurki, who called on him separately at the PM Secretariat here. The Prime Minister observed that the investors-friendly policies of the government had helped attract foreign investment in the country in various sectors, including energy projects which was an encouraging sign. He urged the Ministers for Industries and Commerce to take all stakeholders on board to prioritize the sectors to draw maximum foreign investment. The Prime Minister enquired from Ms. Samina Khalid about her family and expressed his heartfelt grief over the demise of her husband. She requested the Prime Minister to ask the ministries concerned to release the requisite funds for the ongoing development schemes, particularly in the under-developed areas to help improve the life of people. The ministers enquired after the health of the son of the Prime Minister. They discussed with him the political situation of the country. They also apprised him of the various development schemes in their respective constituencies.
