Govt fully alive to country’s defence, security needs: PM
ISLAMABAD, April 13 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Wednesday that the government was fully alive to the country’s defence and security needs and committed to provide state of the art technology to modernize the defence equipment for impregnable security. The Prime Minister was talking to Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, who called on him here at the PM House.
He expressed his confidence that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) would strive to achieve the professional excellence to protect the country’s air frontiers.
The Prime Minister also appreciated the accomplishment of programmes undertaken by the PAF in flood-hit regions.
The Chief of the Air Staff apprised the Prime Minister of renovations and upgradation of various PAF squadrons.
He also apprised him of various ongoing projects initiated by Pakistan Air Force in the flood ravaged areas
