Govt believes in further improving bilateral ties with all neighbours: PM
ISLAMABAD, April 13 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said that the Government believes in further improving bilateral ties with all its neighbours.Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices for the peace and security of the region, he said and added the world acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan and accepted its role as a part of the solution in Afghanistan.The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Senator Saleem Saifullah Khan, Chairman Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate and Anwar Saifullah Khan, MPA, who called on him here at the PM House on Wednesday afternoon.
The Prime Minister also discussed his forthcoming visit to Afghanistan.Senator Saleem Saifullah also apprised the Prime Minister of his recent visit to Afghanistan.
The Prime Minister further said that the government is planning to increase the network of educational institutions including IT institutes in various parts of the country.
The IT Ministry, he mentioned, has been advised to work in liaison with the provincial education departments to facilitate early implementation of this programme.
Acknowledging the expertise of Anwar Saifullah Khan as Ex-Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, the Prime Minister said that he would be contacted to participate in the upcoming energy conference to give his valuable suggestions to overcome the energy crisis facing the country.
Senator Salim Saifullah and Anwer Saifullah, MPA apprised the Prime Minister of various ongoing development schemes in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as their respective constituencies.
