PM stresses for making educational system compatible
ISLAMABAD, April 14 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Thursday that the government was determined to expand the educational infrastructure in all parts of the country.  He stressed upon the need of improvement in the quality of education to make the educational system compatible with the developed world. The Prime Minister was talking to Lt Gen ® Muhammad Asghar, Rector of National University of Science and Technology (NUST), who called on him at Prime Minister House.
The Prime Minister observed that the progress in the field of science and technology was imperative to confront the challenges of rapidly changing world.
He reiterated the resolve of the government to open information technology (IT) institutes across the country to equip the youth with modern technology.
The Prime Minister assured the Rector NUST of full support of the government.
Lt Gen ® M. Asghar apprised the Prime Minister of the working  of university. He also apprised him of various projects initiated in the NUST.
