President Zardari chairs meeting of senior PPP leaders; political situation reviewed
ISLAMABAD, Apr 21 (APP): A meeting of the senior leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party held Thursday night in the Presidency with  the Co-Chairman PPP President Asif Ali Zardari in chair, reviewed the political situation in the country.The meeting also attended by Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani was participated by Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari, Leader of the House in Senate,Senator A. Rehman Malik, Federal Minister for Interior, Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah,Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Minister for Textile Industries, Syed Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister for Privatization and Water and Power,  Barrister Masood Kausar , Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa , Syed Zahir Shah, Provincial President PPP KPK, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh,  Mr. Sadiq Umrani, President PPP Balochistan, Senator Dr. Zaheeruddin Babar Awan, Senator Jahangir Badar, 
Senator Faisal Raza Abidi, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf,  Qamar Zaman Kaira,  Imtiaz Safdar Waraich,President PPP Punjab,  Najmuddin Sheikh, Dr. Ayatullah Durrani, Ms Mehreen Anwar Raja, Ms Farahnaz Ispahani, Taj Haider, Sami Ullah Khan, Malik Waris Khan Afridi,Ms. Rukhsana Bangash, Ms. Fouzia Habib and Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar. Briefing journalists Spokesperson to President Farhatullah Babar said that the meeting reviewed in depth the present political situation in the country, relations with coalition partners and alliance adjustment and other issues of concern.      
Former Law Minister Senator Dr. Babar Awan briefed the meeting on the Presidential reference filed in the Supreme Court to revisit the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case.       
Matters relating to the implementation of the 18th and 19th constitutional amendments were also discussed.      
The meeting expressed satisfaction with the outcome thus far of the policy of reconciliation and decided to continue with it to pursue the huge socio-economic reforms agenda and rise to the expectation of the people.    
The meeting expressed confidence in the leadership of Party Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari and in the government of Prime Minister Yusuf Raza
