Dev funds being allocated to elected reps without distinction: PM
KARACHI, April 22 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Friday that the present government is pursuing the policy of reconciliation.He said that the development funds to the elected representatives are being allocated without distinction and irrespective of political affiliation for development activities in their respective constituencies.He was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) at the Governor House here .The delegation was led by Provincial Chief of PML(F) Pir Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi and included Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Khuda Bakhsh Rajar and Imtiaz Shaikh.
Prime Minister said that the policy of reconciliation is a manifestation of the respect for the public mandate. He said that the government is also paying special attention to the development of backward areas.
The Prime Minister said that the development projects in the province of Sindh should be completed expeditiously, specially those that are 60 per cent complete.
He said that he has asked the concerned authorities to complete the development schemes expeditiously.
The delegation apprised the Prime Minister of the problems of their areas and they also suggested schemes for the next year’s budget.
The overall political situation also came up for discussion at the meeting.
