PM urges women to actively participate in national development
ISLAMABAD, Apr 22 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Friday urged the country’s women to actively participate in national development.Reiterating the government’s commitment to take measures for women’s empowerment and emancipation, the Prime Minister lauded the performance of women including in parliament as very encouraging after the laws enacted by the parliament for their protection at workplace.Talking to MNA Faryal Talpur at the PM House, Gilani asked her to formulate schemes in consultation with other women parliamentarians to empower them at local levels in their respective constituencies.
Faryal apprised the Prime Minister of various ongoing development schemes in her constituency. She also discussed with him matters pertaining to the party.
