Govt allocating funds for development despite financial crunch: PM
ISLAMABAD, April 27 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said the government continued allocation of funds for ongoing development work despite the financial crunch. He maintained that timely completion of the schemes will help boost the living standard of the common people. The Prime Minister expressed these views during his meetings with Parliamentarians who called on him separately here at his Parliament House Chamber on Wednesday evening.
The Prime Minister urged the Parliamentarians to focus on the completion of ongoing infrastructure projects. The connectivity of the less developed areas with the developed areas is imperative for the development, he observed.
The Prime Minister asked them to rationalize and prioritize the schemes for the upcoming budget.
He said the Government is focusing on the development of road, infrastructure and water supply schemes and is disbursing requisite funds to all the Parliamentarians across the board.
The Parliamentarians thanked the Prime Minister for his keen interest for the equitable development of various areas of the country. They also apprised him about ongoing development projects in their respective constituencies.
The Parliamentarians included MNAs Ms. Palwasha Khan, Mehboobullah Jan, Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan and Tariq Anis.
