PM discusses Karachi situation with Interior Minister, Sindh Governor, CM, home minister 

      
ISLAMABAD, Oct 19 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday evening rang up Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ibad, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh Home Minister, Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza separately and discussed the latest law and order situation in Karachi.The Prime Minister said that Karachi being the economic hub of the country and a centre of opportunities for working segments of the society should be peaceful so that the business activities could gain momentum.
He said that those playing with innocent lives are surely the enemies of the people of Pakistan and the state so it is the duty of all to stand against such elements.
He stressed that all should sit together to resolve the issue and prepare a joint strategy to defeat the militant elements who are destroying the peace of Karachi.
Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Dr. Farooq Sattar also telephoned the Prime Minister and discussed the incidents of target killings in Karachi.
The Prime Minister said that this situation calls for joint efforts on part of all parties.
