PM asks CMs to ensure proper distribution of Watan cards

       
ISLAMABAD, Nov 8 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday directed the four chief ministers to ensure proper distribution of Watan cards amongst the flood victims in their respective provinces.  The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif (Punjab), Syed Qaim Ali Shah (Sindh), Amir Haider Hoti (Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa) and Nawab Aslam Raeesani (Balochistan) and Minister for Water and Power, Raja Pervez Ashraf, who called on him before the meeting of Council of Common Interest at the PM Secretariat.
The Chief Ministers apprised the Prime Minister of the current status of distribution of Watan Cards.
Chief Minister Hoti thanked the Prime Minister to include Kala Dhaka into the settled areas.
The Prime Minister termed it as a beginning of development of the less developed areas, adding that the government was taking all measures for the development of the country.
The Minister for Water and Power presented a cheque of Rs.10.23 million contributed by seven private power generation companies for the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.
He also apprised the Prime Minister of the working of hydropower plants and the construction of new power generation projects.
The Prime Minister also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in suicide attacks at the Darra Adam Khel and Badaber mosques.
He reiterated the resolve of his Government to root out terrorism at all costs.
