Govt welcomes criticism to improve its policies: Gilani
ISLAMABAD, June 1 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani reiterated the government’s firm commitment to freedom of expression and said that he personally welcomes criticism as a means to improve policies. The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, who called on him at Prime Minister House Wednesday evening. The role of media, he maintained, increases manifold in these circumstances to educate the common people against the nefarious designs of the terrorists. The Prime Minister asked the Minister for Information to formulate such system which could ensure easy access to information for the journalists.  
The Minister discussed with the Prime Minister the matters pertaining to the ministry. She also briefed the Prime Minister about her visit to Saudi Arabia.
