PM approves raise in law officers’ salaries
ISLAMABAD, Jun 4 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday approved raise in the salaries of law officers along with their perks and privileges.The expenditure will be met from the budget of Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.The salary of Attorney General for Pakistan has been announced as Rs. 606,811. It has been equalized with the salary of a Supreme Court judge raising from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 368,186 with Superior Judicial Allowance as Rs. 170,625. The house rent, if official residence not provided, will be Rs. 68,000.
The salary of Additional Attorney General has been totalled as Rs. 548,845. It has been equalized with the salary of a High Court judge raising from Rs 150,000 to Rs. 347,345. The Superior Judicial Allowance will be Rs. 136,500 whereas the house rent, if official residence not provided,will be Rs. 65,000.
