PM greets Queen Elizabeth II on her birthday
ISLAMABAD, June 11 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth-II of the United Kingdom on her birthday falling on 11th June 2011.In his message, the Prime Minister said, “it gives me immense pleasure to extend my sincere felicitations on Your Majesty’s birthday.” “The bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom have grown from strength to strength in the last six decades,” he added. He said both the countries share views on regional and global issues and closely coordinate on a host of areas of mutual interest.
The profound bonds of friendship are further reinforced by a million strong Pakistanis diaspora in the United Kingdom and significant presence of British citizens and businesses in Pakistan, he said adding, “my government remains committed to further cementing these strategic ties.”
The Prime Minister said, “I avail myself of this opportunity to extend my sincere wishes for Your Majesty’s health and happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the United Kingdom.”
