PM invites businessmen to invest in agriculture, energy
ISLAMABAD, June 14 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said the government had formulated business-friendly policies to encourage investment in all fields, particularly agriculture, engineering and energy. Talking to an eight-member delegation of Pakistan Investor Forum led by Hijab Gul at PM House here, the Prime Minister said the government had taken a number of measures to provide better counselor facilities to the Pakistani businessmen working abroad.
He stressed upon the need for Pakistani businessmen in other countries to make concerted efforts for preferred employment of skilled workers from their country.
He regarded the businessmen as the ambassadors of country and urged them to create better image of their motherland.
The delegation discussed investment prospects as well as joint ventures with local companies during the meeting. They also discussed matters relating to counselor service in Pakistani missions abroad.
Members of the delegation included Mumtaz Akhtar Kahloon, Chaudhry Mohammad Yousaf Ibrahim, Engr. Sajjad Anwar and Salman Arain.
