Govt believes in supremacy of Parliament: Gilani

       
ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said that the government believes in the supremacy of the parliament as it is the highest forum to discuss the problems of common man. The government is acting upon the policy of reconciliation and will take all the stakeholders on board for deciding issues of national importance.The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Minister for Labour and Manpower and Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Chief of JUI (F), who called on him at Prime Minster House.
The Prime Minister shared with Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman the deliberations of cabinet meeting regarding Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST). He also said that RGST would be brought to the floor of the house for general discussion and it would be implemented after consulting provincial governments.
The leaders discussed overall political situation of the country. They expressed their concern over the deaths of innocent people in recent attacks on mosques in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa.The JUI (F) leader assured the Prime Minister support of his party in fighting terrorism.
