PM assures to check CDA involvement in anti-Nisar banners
ISLAMABAD June 22 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday told the National Assembly that he would get a report on Capital Development Authority (CDA) alleged involvement in installation of banners against Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. While responding to a point of order raised by Ch Nisar about installation of banners against him by a certain group, he said CDA was the Federal Government institution, and after checking the facts he will contact the Opposition Leader.Earlier, Ch Nisar had stated that a group indulged in land grabbing was involved in his character assassination at a time when he was hospitalized due to illness. He also alleged that these banners were installed on CDA hoardings, which was in a sense misuse of national resources.
He claimed that during his entire political career, even his worst opponents did not raise any finger towards his integrity and honesty, but this has been done during the tenure of the government which claims to be following the policy on reconciliatory politics.
Ch Nisar proposed that a committee of MNAs from the Pakistan People’s Party should be constituted to probe into the allegations raised in the banners and he would be ready to accept their report and face the penalty.
