Gilani relives past in Murree; mingles with people
MURREE, June 26 (APP)- Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Sunday relived his cherished past memories on the stony path-ways of the Murree hills when he visited his favourite restaurant ‘Lintots’, he frequented in the old days and had a coffee sip. Setting aside all security concerns, the Prime Minister treaded the famous Murree Mall Road and inter-mingled with the people who were in utter surprise to find the Premier among them sans any protocol and security.
Accompanied by his wife and children, who had been in Murree to spend the weekend, Gilani visited his all time favourite restaurant to have a cup of coffee and mixed up with restaurant staff.
Going back into the memory-lane, the Prime Minister also called for the manager of the restaurant who used to serve him and well-acquainted with Gilani over the years, but the Prime Minister was saddened to know that the old manager had passed away some four years back, leaving behind his son to serve him.
Meanwhile, a large crowd had gathered outside the restaurant to have a glimpse of the Premier while the Prime Minister, proving more beneficent and kind, inter-mingled with the people standing in queues on the Mall Road.
Gilani, very graciously, shook hands with the from all ages,allowed them souvenir photographs with him as well as wrote autographs to the jubilant crowd of admirers.
The Prime Minister waved warmly to the people who could not reach him and his warmth was reciprocated by the masses who cheered and waved joyfully to find their prime minister amongst them.
