Govt to utilize all resources for reconstruction, rehabilitation: PM 

      
ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday reiterated Government’s resolve to utilize all resources for the upcoming phase of reconstruction and rehabilitation in flood affected areas.With the approaching winter season, he said, the situation is becoming difficult. The Government has enhanced the pace of relief activities so that the flood affected people could return to their homes before the onset of winter, he said.The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Minister for Railways Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Minister of State for Housing & Works Tariq Amin who called on him separately at Prime Minister House.
The Prime Minister urged all the ministers to personally monitor the ongoing development projects of their respective ministries so that the benefits could reach the common man.
He asked the Minister for Religious Affairs to make the Hajj arrangements more transparent. He further said that to ensure an efficient working of the Hajj Directorate for providing maximum facilities to the pilgrims.
The ministers hailed the Prime Minister’s policy of reconciliation and his efforts for strengthening of democracy in the country. They also apprised him of the progress of various ongoing development projects of their respective ministries as well as the problems in their execution.
