PPP, MQM to work together for country’s betterment:Interior Minister       
KARACHI, Dec 31 (APP): The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will work together for the betterment and peace in the country specially in Karachi.This was stated by Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, while talking to mediamen at Karachi Airport on Friday.‘Our friendship, our unity, the mode of actions, action plans for the security have to go together’, he further stated.Rehman Malik said  it should be remembered that MQM is a reality and we have to take it along.He further pointed out that this metropolis city belongs to us all and made it clear that every action would be taken for the peace in Karachi.He also remarked that the MQM chief Altaf Hussain and the leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) have played their role for the maintenance of peace.
Rehman Malik further stated that we would have to move forward with unity.
Replying to a question, he said that over 67 accused who have been arrested on charges of target killing belong to various groups and not from a single party.
He was of the view that terrorists always try to take refuge behind some parties but when there is investigation a ‘different game’ comes to fore.
The Interior Minister said that a number of attempts had been made to try to destabilize Pakistan.
He said we have to make concerted efforts to strengthen the country and safeguards its interests.
Rehman Malik assured the people that we are competent enough to achieve this objective provided we unite and make concerted efforts for the cause of the country.
