PM asks Interior Minister to ensure security of public places
ISLAMABAD, Feb 4 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has asked the Interior Minister to ensure maximum security measures to public places across the country particularly mosques and shrines in coordination with the provincial governments.The Prime Minister was talking to Interior Minister Rehman Malik who called on him at Prime Minister House here Friday evening.
The Prime Minister said militants are on the run and they are making their last ditch efforts by targeting the innocent people as they have failed to achieve their nefarious designs.
He reiterated the government’s resolve to continue its fight against these elements till they are wiped out completely.
Rehman Malik briefed the Prime Minister about the current security situation in the country.
He also apprised the Prime Minister about the measures being made in coordination with provincial administration to effectively deal with the menace of militancy.
