PIA issue to be resolved soon: Rehman Malik
ISLAMABAD, Feb 10 (APP): Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan Airline (PIA) issue would be resolved amicably in next two to three days. Talking to media after holding talks with representatives of Joint Action Committee, the minister said he would submit the demands of the committee  before the  Prime Minister.
He said that the disruption of PIA flights due to the workers’ strike has caused a loss of Rs. 400 million to the national exchequer.
He said Employees’ Joint Action Committee has gone on strike as they were not happy with a proposed route-sharing deal with Turkish Airlines.
Rehman Malik  said  both the sides have agreed to continue dialogues  on Friday.
He added that it may take some time but we will resolve the issue.    
Meanwhile, the PIA management welcomed the meeting of representatives JACPIA (Joint Action Committee of PIA Employees) with Mr. Rehman Malik.
He said that the meeting between Mr. Rehman Malik and representatives of JACPIA was positive.
