ISLAMABAD, Apr 7 (APP): Minister for Interior Rehman Malik
said on Thursday that a permanent commission has been constituted
under the supervision of a High Court Judge, which is hearing the
cases about missing persons on daily basis.
"A joint investigation team comprising law-enforcing agencies
would complete inquiry within 45 days and the report would be
submitted to the commission which can give more 10 days to the joint investigation team", he said while talking to reporters outside the
Parliament House.
He said the Commission, set up on the recommendation of a
3-member Judicial Commission, has been functioning since March
14 this year, under the supervision of Justice Fazl-ur-Rehman.
Replying to a question, he said that the commission is
regularly hearing the cases of missing persons.
"The relatives of missing persons of Balochistan should also
approach to the commission for tracing their near and dear ones",
he added.

missing persons submit their applications before the commission and
then date is fixed for hearing of the case.

the judicial commission to probe the issue as wrong figure was
being given about the missing persons.

traced 28 missing persons out of 203, while 178 persons are yet to
be traced.

chief secretaries and other officials", he said.

initiaive of the Supreme Court for constituting a Judicial Commission
to look into cases of missing persons.
