Aggression intolerable: Malik
KARACHI, May 14 (APP): Pakistan will not tolerate any challenge to its sovereignty, said Interior Minister Rehman Malik here on Saturday.He was talking to mediapersons on arrival at Jinnah International Airport.“Our Prime Minister has given a message to the world that aggression in any shape will not be tolerated,” Malik said while responding to various queries about drone attacks and killing of Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad.The Interior Minister said that the Army were doing good work for the country and serving the nation with full potential.“Allegations against them are based on mis-communication,” he pointed out.”
However, he said there was need to revisit the policies.“Pakistan is itself victim of terrorism, we lost over 30,000 people including 5,000 personnel of Army and the Frontier Corps in operations against terrorists, miscreants and militants,” he maintained.
Malik said that Pakistan was not only fighting the war against militants for its own but for the world community.
“US should listen to the voice of the people of Pakistan and stop drone attacks, we have to work together even with our neighbours,” he added.
Later, during his visit to the Saudi Consulate to review security measures after fire cracker attacks few days back, the Minister said that investigation in this regard were underway and the culprits will be brought to justice.
“Government will provide full protection to the consulate and the Saudi citizens living here,” he added.
