Movement of foreigners to be regularised: Malik
ISLAMABAD, May 19 (APP): Movement of foreigners  would be regularised and any foreigner/ diplomat will be sent back to his  station of duty if he was found without legal permit of visit to specific area.This was decided at a high level meeting, with representation of PPOs and Home Secretaries of the provinces which was held in Ministry of Interior. Federal Minister for Interior, Senator A. Rehman Malik chaired the meeting and Secretary Interior along with officials of of the ministry participated, said a press release.Malik said that Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been requested to re-circulate SOPs on the subject among the diplomatic community.A networking arrangement between NADRA, MoFA and Mol for regulating movement of the foreigners/diplomats will be established and likewise registration of vehicles/driving licenses of the foreigners will be brought under prescribed ambit.
Activities of proscribed organizations should be monitored vigorously including setting up of community policing for intelligence gathering and no proscribed organization will be allowed to undertake any social/political activity.
Provincial Governments have been directed to strictly observe the activities of proscribed organizations and those individuals who are in violation will be put under Schedule IV of ATA.
Balochistan and the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa have been asked to send recommendations to allow travellers to Afghanistan only through biometrics facility.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been requested to approach Afghan authorities to make biometrics facilities available on their side.
The Committee has recommended to extend the Safe City project to all the Provincial Headquarters including Azad Jammu & Kashmir so as to enhance the security .
The Interior Minister appreciated the resolve of all the provincial governments, LEAs and Intelligence agencies to fight the terrorism/ sectarianism despite their scant resources.
