Rehman Malik orders strict security arrangements for Muharram
ISLAMABAD, Nov 24 (APP): Interior Minister Senator A Rehman Malik Thursday asked Islamabad Police and administration to arrange  strict security arrangements for Muharram.He stated this while presiding over a high level meeting convened to review security arrangements for Muharam ul Haram.The minister directed Islamabad Police to ensure foolproof security for Majalis-e-Uzah, Imam Bargahs, and religious processions.
The meeting was attended by Interior Secretary, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG of Police Islamabad, DIG Security, Deputy Chief Commissioner Islamabad, SSP Security and SSP Islamabad.
 The minister also announced Pride of Performance for the guard of a bank in Alipur Farash for foiling an attempt of bank robbery by killing the dacoit.
 Rehman Malik directed Islamabad Police and administration to take special measures for protection of citizens and their properties.
 The minister stressed for proper checking on entry and exit points of the city and directed for increasing patrolling specially during nights.
