Religious gatherings on the target of terrorists, says Malik

       
QUETTA, Sep 8 (APP)-Interior Minister Reman Malik on Wednesday said that government has received reports from intelligence agencies that terrorists have planned to target more religious gatherings in the country. Talking to leaders of Shia community during his visit to Nichari Imambargah to offer dua for the victims of Meezan chok blast, he said that targeting the religious gathering is meant to pit the followers of various religious schools of thoughts against each others.
It is enshrined in the constitution of Pakistan that every individual is allowed to perform according to his/her sects and law enforcement agencies are bound to ensure their protection, he noted.
Interior Minister on the occasion asked the Shia leaders to stick to the law enforcement agencies directives and cut short the time duration of their religious gatherings so that miscreants could not succeed in their malicious designs.
He on the occasion, announced that the slain DSP who was killed in Quetta hospital blast in April last  would be conferred a Qaid-e-Azam Medal and his son would be appointed as ASI in police department.
