Malik, Kundi discuss security arrangements for joint session of Parliament       
ISLAMABAD, Dec 11 (APP): Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi Saturday called on Interior Minister Rehman Malik here at the Ministry and discussed security arrangements for upcoming joint session of the Parliament.According to parliamentary calendar the upcoming session is scheduled on December 19.Malik said that all possible measures would be taken to ensure foolproof security during the session.They also discussed law and order situation in Dera Ismail Khan especially during the holy month of Muharram.The Interior Minister informed the Deputy Speaker that the government is taking pragmatic measures to resolve the problems of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KPK).
He said KPK rendered great sacrifices in the war on terror and this was acknowledged by the world.
He said the government would utilize all available resources to resolve the problems of the province.
Referring to security arrangements during the month of Muharram, he said joint measures in collaboration with provincial government are being taken to maintain peace in D.I.Khan during the holy month.
Deputy Speaker expressed gratitude to the Minister for taking keen interest in resolving the problems of D.I.Khan district.
