Court to decide Davis fate: Rehman Malik
ISLAMABAD, Feb 1 (APP): Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday categorically stated that central and provincial governments would not hinder the court proceedings regarding Raymond Davis, the US national accused of killing two Pakistanis in Lahore last week. Talking to newsmen outside the Parliament House, the minister said that Raymond’s fate would be decided by the court.
The minister expressed ignorance about putting the name of Raymond Davis on the Exit Control List.
Regarding progress on Mumbai attack case, he said that Pakistan is not delaying the investigation, rather India was creating hurdles for access to the judicial commission.
Referring to the tight security measures put in place in Karachi, the minister said there is a sharp decline in the cases of target killing.
He outrightly stated that the government has no plans to amend the blasphemy laws.
